Director of Operations and Advancement
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Operations and Advancement serves as the primary coordinator of donor relations and a key representative in advancing the organization’s mission. This role collaborates with the CEO and stakeholders to achieve strategic goals, manages meetings and project timelines, oversees budgets with quarterly variance reporting, and coordinates fundraising events to ensure targets are met. The Director of Operations and Advancement also maintains brand consistency and digital engagement through analytics, cultivates and reengages donor relationships, segments communications to improve retention, and gathers compelling stories and media for outreach. Additionally, the position supports the CEO’s donor communications, attends and documents major events, and ensures accurate reporting. As an essential member of the leadership team, this role requires professionalism, punctuality, exceptional attention to detail, and direct interaction with donors, sponsors, and key financial stakeholders.
Client Care Assistant
This position is the first smile, voice, and sense of safety for women who may feel scared or uncertain. Responsibilities include warmly greeting clients, answering phones with compassion, scheduling appointments, maintaining HIPAA-compliant confidentiality, supporting parenting classes, assisting with light administrative tasks, and creating a peaceful environment. The ideal candidate strongly aligns with APS Medical’s life-affirming mission, is friendly, calm, organized, and dependable, communicates well in person and by phone, and is comfortable discussing sensitive topics. Experience in reception, ministry, healthcare, or nonprofit settings is preferred, along with a professional demeanor and a compassionate, steady presence.
Communication Specialist Intern
This role supports the creation of a new TED Talk–style educational series for K–12 students, requiring a professional on-screen personality who can both educate and engage on topics such as mental health, sexual health, developmental issues, and modern societal concerns. All scripts and materials are predeveloped and expert-vetted. Candidates must maintain a professional on-camera appearance, be comfortable using a green screen, and demonstrate maturity when discussing sensitive subjects. This is a strong opportunity for students interested in building broadcast experience and developing an on-camera portfolio, with a commitment of 8–10 hours per week including off-site filming and in-office preparation.
Social Media Marketing Intern
This position supports the mission of WELS Lutherans for Life by identifying, posting, and tracking high-quality content that increases awareness and donor engagement. Responsibilities include collaborating with the Head of Analytics, Marketing, and Donor Development to plan and schedule social media content, analyzing past performance to guide future campaigns, and reviewing competitor profiles to strategically position the organization as a leader in its space. Candidates should understand how social media influences consumer and donor behavior and be majoring or planning to major in Business Administration, Marketing, or Consumer Management.
Donor Development Intern
The Donor Development Intern position plays a vital role in the organization’s success through direct engagement with donors, sponsors, and key financial stakeholders. Responsibilities include attending and documenting major events, maintaining brand consistency alongside the marketing team, using analytics to strengthen donor engagement, cultivating and reactivating donor relationships, segmenting communications to improve retention, producing compelling outreach content, and supporting the CEO’s donor communications. This role requires professionalism, punctuality, attention to detail, strong interpersonal communication skills, and a self-starting mindset, along with a consistent in-office presence and a professional demeanor on the phone and with colleagues.
