Core Values

WELS Lutherans for Life embraces and encourages the following values in all our work.

We believe that:

• Every woman deserves the right to make an informed decision about her pregnancy.
• Using the truth to educate women and men to value life can reduce the number of women who choose abortion.
• God has a plan for every child from the moment of being conceived.
• Every child IS wanted by someone.
• A woman’s right to make a choice for life should be protected and enforced.
• Sexual intimacy should only occur in a marriage between one man and one woman. Sexual intimacy should be enjoyed as a gift from God, and it builds stronger bonds of love between marriage partners.
• Strong healthy communities are composed of caring, responsible families.

Statement of Faith

The Apostles' Creed
I believe in God, the Father Almighty,     
    maker of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
    who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
    born of the virgin Mary,
    suffered under Pontius Pilate,
    was crucified, died, and was buried.
He descended into hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven
    and is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
    the holy Christian Church,
        the communion of saints,
    the forgiveness of sins,
    the resurrection of the body,
    and the life everlasting. Amen
