Volunteer Opportunities

The pro-life cause needs you right now! Lives hang in the balance. And that means there’s room for you.*

Volunteers are the heart of WELS Lutherans for Life. Each month volunteers from area churches, agreeing on the essentials of faith and working in unity, contribute numerous hours of service. We are eager to discuss opportunities that fit your unique, God-given gifts.

  • Client Advocate*: Meet with clients in a peer-counseling setting to provide clients with information about their options and present the gospel.
  • Receptionist*: Answer the telephone, make appointments, greet clients, and related tasks.
  • Loving Parents Instructor*: Loving Parents is our parenting class for moms dads, and others in a parenting role. Share Jesus’ love by teaching prenatal care, parenting skills, and practical life skills. You are provided with a completely prepared and easy-to-use curriculum.
  • Ambassador for Life: Serve as a liaison between your church and WELS Lutherans for Life. Being an Ambassador for Life is a vital volunteer role. People in this position provide a connection with their church, allowing us the opportunity to provide information and ways for them to be involved.
  • Event Volunteer: Assist during fundraising events in a variety of roles!
  • Office Support /Special Projects: Assists with office needs such as filing, data entry, and other projects as they arise.
  • Prayer Warrior: Pray regularly for the ministry and our clients.

VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Be a faithful Christian, trusting Jesus as Savior & Lord*
  2. Believe that human life begins at conception
  3. Agree with the purposes of WELS Lutherans for Life
  4. Believe that premarital and extramarital sex are against God's will
  5. Be a good listener
  6. Be willing to express one’s faith in God and show Christian love
  7. Continue to grow in faith through regular worship, Bible study, and communion attendance.

*Note: Volunteers with direct client interaction (noted above with an *) are required to be a member in good standing of a WELS or ELS a congregation.
